Ted’s Background
I am a Third Culture Kid or Adult (TCKA), having been raised (lived, studied, & later worked) outside my parents' home country. Those fitting this description tend to blend their birth culture with their adopted one, crafting a unique third culture. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, I've had four stints growing up in the United Kingdom & was raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, France, as well as various states in the US. In 1986, I worked in New York City for a year before venturing to Australia, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Micronesia, the Mariana Commonwealth, the UK, the Philippines, and finally, in 2010, establishing a home in San Francisco, California
